The approximate flood-hazard areas were defined using the 1998 PAG DTM data and the HEC-RAS water-surface profile model. The hydrology was obtained from either the Tucson Stormwater Planner HEC-1 database or from individual calculations using the city's peak discharge procedure. The HEC-1 values were obtained from the Stormwater Planning Division. Standard hydrologic and hydraulic modeling accuracy limitations apply. For either procedure, if the non-contributing portion of a given watershed had been verified, the associated discharge was applied. If the watershed was only partially-verified or not-verified, the non-contributing area option was not applied. It is important to note that urban drainage consists of numerous flow splits and diversions along city streets, all floodplain mapping was one-dimensional. Flow conveyance within the overbank areas adjacent to the watercourses (i.e., conveyor streets and/or open channels) was defined using a single Manning's roughness coefficient. In some instances, the HEC-RAS split-flow option was used to estimate breakouts along the primary watercourse under investigation. However, the geometry of the weir section was taken directly from the topography, and there was no allowance for walls, fences, or similar obstructions. A single weir coefficient was applied to approximate the effect of commercial and residential developments. The data was not prepared for direct submittal to FEMA as part of a LOMR or CLOMR. User should consult associated drainage report for more detailed information. All reports were sealed by a registered civil engineer licensed to practice in the State of Arizona.<\/SPAN><\/P><\/DIV><\/DIV>" }
